Jalen Ramsey pitches Patriots CB Stephon Gilmore on playing for Rams

Stephon Gilmore reportedly won't attend New England Patriots' minicamp as he holds out for a new contract.

It's unclear if the Patriots would be willing to trade the former Defensive Player of the Year, but Jalen Ramsey is recruiting him to the Los Angeles Rams anyway.

While making his pitch to Gilmore, Ramsey brought up the fact that Mookie Betts was traded from the Boston Red Sox to the Los Angeles Dodgers and won a World Series.

Los Angeles doesn't have much cap space. However, acquiring Gilmore would add to one of the league's top defenses and make the Rams an instant Super Bowl contender.

It's unclear what it would take for the Rams to pry Gilmore from the Patriots. L.A. doesn't have a first-round pick until 2024 after trading for Matthew Stafford, and the Patriots probably won't sell low.

Still, it's not impossible, and maybe Gilmore will request a trade if his situation isn't solved. We'll just have to wait and see.
