Jalen Royals followed in the footsteps of Kansas City Chiefs WRs Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice by participating in the 2025 NFLPA Rookie Premiere Event in Los Angeles, California, this weekend.
Royals was one of just 16 rookie wide receivers and 42 rookie players in attendance at the event. In addition to an orientation led by NFLPA union leadership, Royals received a crash course in marketing, endorsements, brand, and income management.
He attended several activations with NFL content partners like Panini America, EA Sports, Fanatics, Fanatics Collectibles, NFL Social Lab, New Era, and Microsoft. He also had opportunities to meet with brand partners such as Nike, Sony, Oakley, WHOOP, Lululemon, Pro Standard, Highland Mint, Funko, FedEx, On The Mark, Gatorade, Gillette, Shiftwave, EXOS, Pepsi, Procter & Gamble, and Jersey Mike’s.
Beyond that, he also got to suit up in his new Chiefs uniform for the second time following rookie minicamp.
A big difference is that he got to wear shoulder and thigh pads for photoshoots. . .
A first look at Chiefs rookie WR Jalen Royals in his new uniform
Royals got a chance to put on shoulder pads, thigh pads, and his helmet to pose for several different photoshoots. Here's a quick behind-the-scenes look courtesy of Fanduel TV's Kay Adams.
Of course, one of the main photos was of the 2025 NFLPA Rookie Premiere class, which you can see below. Royals can be found in the bottom right corner, between Denver Broncos rookie WR Pat Bryant and Los Angeles Chargers rookie WR Tre Harris.
Royals also took promo photos with several content and brand partners, some of which he shared on his Instagram page. See pictures Nos. 3 and 6 in the slideshow below to check out what Royals looks like in his new Chiefs gear.
Demarcus Robinson and Marquez Valdes-Scantling were the last receivers to wear No. 11, but Royals sure makes that number look good. If things go according to plan in Kansas City, he could be the most valuable player to wear No. 11 since Alex Smith.
