Jamal Adams, Seahawks agree to record four-year, $70 million extension
The Seattle Seahawks and safety Jamal Adams have agreed to a four-year, $70 million contract extension, ESPN insider Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday. The deal will make Adams, 25, the highest-paid player at his position.
The deal includes a $20 million signing bonus, Schefter added.
The 6-foot-1, 213-pound safety is coming off the best season of his career, recording 9.5 sacks and 83 tackles across 12 games in his first campaign with Seattle.
The new deal eclipses that of Denver Broncos' Justin Simmons, who signed a four-year $61 million deal back in March.
