The Detroit Lions will be facing the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship. Very few expected that Dan Campbell’s side would make it to the Championship. However, the side did it pretty well. From the very beginning of the season, they showed dominance and finished the regular season with a 12-5 record. In the playoffs, they made history by winning a game after three decades.

Nonetheless, the 49ers would be a different challenge. The team has performed brilliantly throughout the season. The partnership between Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey has been out of the world. This is one of the reasons, the team would start as a favorite in the championship.

Ahead of the game, a media interaction grabbed the attention of the NFL crowd. It was Jared Goff who had a weird conversation with a media person. In the interaction, the media person told him that the Lions have a lot of stars. The quarterback awkwardly thanked him.

In the next question, the media person said that the Lions stars are not as big as the Niners. More awkwardly, Goff said:

Never mind, thank you. Jared Goff said

It was pretty surprising from a quarterback like him.

Though, the Lions have played pretty well in the regular season and also in the postseason, the 49ers have been a giant. The Lions will need to put a mammoth effort to beat the likes of the Niners.

The Niners are not taking Jared Goff and the Lions lightly

This NFL season is full of surprises. A lot of teams produced upsets and made sure the exit of the big teams. The 49ers also had a poor performance in the game against the Packers. It was a neck-to-neck battle against the Packers but the Niners prevailed.

Considering all these, George Kittle said that they were not taking the Lions lightly. He said that he was aware of what Dan Campbell’s side could do and hence they are expecting a tough fight.

Speaking to the reporters, Kittle said:

They are hot, they are on a roll right now, and when you have momentum and you are playing for the city of Detroit, that's a huge wave of momentum they are bringing with them to California . George Kittle said

The Niners lost last year’s championship battle. It is to be seen what happens this year.
