Are the Los Angeles Rams contemplating moving on from quarterback Jared Goff? Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Jared Goff's future with Rams uncertain after 2020 season?

It appears a rather unsuspecting quarterback could be made available this offseason.

Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead refused to commit to Jared Goff as the franchise's starting quarterback in 2021, telling reporters that he wouldn't get into specifics on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport discussed Snead's comments, saying that Goff's future in Los Angeles is uncertain. If he was the team's franchise quarterback, the general manager would've flat out said so.

Goff has been fairly reliable over the years, but still very inconsistent. The 26-year-old has not been able to match his numbers from the 2018 campaign, when the Rams went 13-3. In 2020, Goff went 9-6, completing 67% of his passes for 3,952 yards and 20 touchdowns against 13 interceptions, with the Rams sneaking into the playoffs.

Against the Green Bay Packers in the postseason, Goff threw for 174 yards and a touchdown, but it wasn't enough in a 32-18 loss. He was also sacked four times.

With several solid rookie quarterbacks expected to be available in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Rams could start fresh at quarterback. Or they could take a look at the open market. Matthew Stafford and Deshaun Watson could be available this offseason, and just about every team is expected to check in on them.
