Life after retirement has never been sweeter for football players. The emergence of new media has enabled players to connect with their fans on a personal level through the means of podcasts. It has become the norm for active and retired players to follow this trend, although, the competitiveness has now extended beyond the field as some podcasts fare better than others. In recent months, the podcast hosted by the Kelce brothers has surpassed that of the others and has become a fan favorite.

Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce‘s New Heights podcast continues to stay atop the charts, and unsurprisingly, platforms are keeping a close tab on it. As per The Hollywood Reporterthere could be a deal extending into the eight-figure range for exclusive rights to stream the podcast.

This would make the Kelce brothers podcast one of the biggest in the world next to that of Joe Rogan, who signed a deal with Spotify for $250 million recently. The weekly podcast that discusses the latest happenings in the football world and the world of entertainment has become an instant hit amongst fans.

Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast has received accolades for its popularity

There has been a surge in viewership after Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift became public and fans chime in to get updates on the tight end’s relationship, the stories he shares of how the duo met, the dates they went on, and more. In addition to this, the brothers share details of their childhood and speak on topics that interest them. The duo has now begun to invite famous celebrities and personalities ranging from Arnold Schwarzenegger to fellow NFL athletes.

Travis Kelce still remains in awe of the success the podcast has received.

I've been surprised. I think everybody's kind of shocked on how it's taken off the way it has. We just started off by wanting to showcase our brotherhood and our similarities knowing that we're really two different walks of life. But when you get us around each other, you can see why we're brothers, and you see how much love and how much appreciation we have for each other for getting to where we are in our lives, and we wanted to showcase that. The format of the podcast is informal and conversational in nature. Travis and Jason Kelce make it seem as though they are having a conversation with one another and they have fun doing it. The viewers are constantly engaged and the jovial nature of the Kelce brothers makes it hard not to burst into laughter at some of their takes.

It comes as no surprise that the podcast won the Podcast of the Year award at the iHeartRadio Podcast Awards in March. Travis Kelce has slowly begun laying the foundation for his post-football career. He is set to host Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? on Prime Video later this year and has begun to finance the production of movies as well.

Jason Kelce, who recently announced his retirement is enjoying his time away from football. There is a possibility of him signing a sports broadcasting deal very soon. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for him! One thing is certain, the Kelce brothers are stars on and off the football field!
