Jason Kelce is going to need a new Super Bowl ring after what happened during an event that involved chili. The former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman talked about his Super Bowl LII ring on the New Heights podcast and revealed he lost it during a live recording that included fans participating in challenges.

In one challenge, fans had to find Kelce’s championship ring wrapped in a sock and buried in a vat of Cinicinnati’s Skyline Chili. Some of the chili-covered socks had replicas or fake rings, but Kelce’s actual ring was never found.

“I legitimately lost my Super Bowl ring in this event, they could not find it,” Kelce said on the podcast. “All of this stuff has been thrown away, so I think we can safely assume that my Super Bowl ring is now in a landfill in someplace in the Cincinnati, tri-state area.”

Kelce said he put in an insurance claim for the ring and if he can’t find it, he will have another one made. “The Super Bowl ring is officially gone,” Kelce said.  “We have already put the insurance claim in, which, I think the insurance company might have some things to say about whether they’re gonna cover that.”

Jason Kelce is looking to replace the Super Bowl ring

Travis Kelce, the bother of Jason Kelce, told him that you don’t put a Super Bowl ring in a sock and in the pull. But Jason revealed that he knew where the ring was at all times.

“It doesn’t matter where I put it! I can put it wherever I want as long as I know where it’s at, and I knew where it was at,” Jason said. “Somebody at some point messed with my Super Bowl ring, which I’m fine with. I mean, it’s just a hunk of metal. I’ll just have another one made. I think. They can do that, right?”

Jason Kelce won the Super Bowl ring after the Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. The legendary NFL center played in another Super Bowl during the 2022 season but fell short of getting another ring as the Eagles lost to the Kansas City Chiefs which features Travis Kelce.

After the 2023 season, Jason Kelce announced his retirement from the NFL. He played in the league for 13 seasons and was named to the Pro Bowl seven times. Kelce was also selected to the All-Pro First Team six times, and all selections came in his last seven seasons with the Eagles.
