Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler and his wife Kristin Cavallari announced on Sunday that they are in the process of getting a divorce.

Cutler and Cavallari both issued the same statement via their respective Instagram accounts, which said that they have “nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made and the children we are so proud of.” The announcement indicates that the split is an amicable one.

And here’s Cavallari’s:

Cutler and Cavallari began dating in 2010 and got engaged in 2011. They had relationship issues early on and called off their engagement at one point, but they got married in June 2013 when Cutler was with the Chicago Bears. They have two sons and a daughter together.

Cutler has made frequent appearances on Cavallari’s reality TV series “Very Cavallari,” and they became popular among fans for having a sense of humor about their relationship. It remains to be seen if any of the problems the couple was having will be featured on the show in the future.
