Jerome Baker, Dolphins agree to three-year, $39 million extension
Jerome Baker recently said that he hadn't had any contract discussions with the Miami Dolphins. That has since changed.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Baker and the Dolphins have agreed to a three-year, $39 million extension. The deal includes $28.4 million guaranteed.
Baker has spent his entire three-year career with the Dolphins. In 48 games, the 24-year-old linebacker has 11.5 sacks, two interceptions, four forced fumbles, 10 pass breakups, 317 tackles and 20 quarterback hits.
Baker previously said that he wants to spend his entire career in Miami.
"I love it here. I love the fans. I love the organization," he said. "I love everybody here. I definitely see myself playing here for a long time."
He's now one step closer to that goal.
