The Cleveland Browns landed wide receiver Jerry Jeudy in a trade with the Denver Broncos before the onset of free agency, and Jeudy is thrilled to be in his new digs.

While speaking to the media for the first time since the trade, Jeudy appreciated the fact that the Browns wanted him.

“I heard that the Browns were interested in me even two years ago,” Jeudy said, via Kelsey Russo of the Browns’ official team website. “To actually be here, it’s a surreal moment. So, I feel like I’m at the right spot because they have been trying to get me for a long time, so I feel like I’m wanted here. As a player, you always want to be in a place that you feel welcomed and want to make it feel like home and want to be wanted. And so having that feeling is great.”

Jeudy will join a suddenly deep Cleveland receiving corps that also includes Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore and will probably slide into the No. 2 role behind Cooper.

“I feel like I could bring the same thing to the table — get open, create separation and make plays after the catch,” Jeudy said. “I feel like we got a great set of receiving corps that could bring all that to the table actually.”

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was selected by the Broncos with the 15th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

He ended up being a rather significant disappointment in Denver, failing to register a 1,000-yard campaign over the course of four seasons with the club.

Jeudy came close in 2022, totaling 972 yards, but that marked the only time the wide out ever even recorded 900 yards in a single year.

This past season, Jerry Jeudy caught 54 passes for 758 yards and a couple of touchdowns in 16 games.

We’ll see if the Browns are able to make better use of him in their aerial attack.
