Jets HC Robert Saleh has 'no problem' with WR Elijah Moore after controversial tweet

New York Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore raised some eyebrows when he took to Twitter seemingly to complain about not seeing a single target during Sunday's 27-10 win at the Green Bay Packers that improved Gang Green to 4-2 on the season.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh attempted to pour cold water over any potential controversy while speaking with reporters on Monday.

"He’s a competitive young man…he wants to contribute and sometimes we think our contributions are from productivity only when your contributions can come from a variety of different things," Saleh explained, according to Phillip Martinez of SNY. "There’s a million ways to contribute to this football team."

Moore insisted via Twitter he was happy about Sunday's result regardless of his lack of stats:

Meanwhile, Saleh added on Monday he's since had a conversation with the second-year pro.

"I got no problem with Elijah. He’s one of our high-character individuals," Saleh said. "Love him to death and eventually the production part of it that he’s hoping for will come. Just continue to work."

Moore has recorded 16 catches for 203 yards and zero touchdowns across six games this season.

Fellow second-year pro Zach Wilson completed just 10-of-18 passes for 110 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the victory at Lambeau Field. Rookie running back Breece Hall went for 116 yards and one score on 20 carries, and the visitors rushed for a team total of 179 yards against Green Bay.

The Jets next play at the Denver Broncos this coming Sunday.
