J.J. Watt becomes latest star to comment on NFL's random drug tests

Arizona Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt is the latest big name to post his views on the NFL's random drug test policy on Twitter.

Watt had one of his best games of the season during the Cardinals' 24-15 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, finishing with season highs in solo tackles (four), tackles for loss (three), quarterback hits (three), and sacks (3.0) while recording his first forced fumble of the campaign as well. Watt played a season-high 84% of the defensive snaps and it was perhaps his best performance statistically since he joined Arizona ahead of the 2021 season.

Sunday was Watt's seventh career game with 3.0 sacks (a career-high), but his first since September 2018 when he was still with the Houston Texans. The 33-year-old leads the Cardinals in tackles for loss (12) and sacks (9.5) this season, while tying with Zach Allen and Markus Golden for the team lead in quarterback hits (19).

Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown went on Twitter to complain about his selection for a random drug test following a big performance in Week 8. Brown finished the Eagles' win against the Pittsburgh Steelers with six receptions for 156 yards and three touchdowns one day before the drug test was requested.

New England Patriots Pro Bowl defensive end Matthew Judon has had multiple random drug test requests in recent weeks. After his most recent one last week, Judon tweeted that he wanted to be left "the F alone."
