Ronnie Stanley has had a roller-coaster campaign in his eighth year with the Baltimore Ravens.

Injuries have marred Stanley’s season. For one, he has been nursing a knee injury suffered during Baltimore’s home loss to the Cleveland Browns. The nagging ailment forced him to miss Baltimore's home game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he was cleared to play against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Stanley is set to get some much-needed rest. Not only do the Ravens have their bye week coming up in Week 13, but head coach John Harbaugh said on Monday that he decided to give the entire team this whole week off.

Harbaugh is hopeful that the extra rest will help Stanley get back on the right track.

"I do think that it’s going to be beneficial for him," Harbaugh said. "It’s something that’s been, it’s not been great. I think he’d probably be the first person to tell you it’s not been great. He needs to get stronger and get his technique right."

Stanley had a sluggish performance in Baltimore’s road matchup against the Chargers. He allowed six quarterback pressures, and he was flagged twice in the contest. Overall, he has allowed four sacks this season.

Harbaugh is aiming to see the veteran left tackle once again play up to his potential.

"He’s a great player," Harbaugh said. "We want to get him back into playing at that high level."

The Ravens will next be in action in Week 14 when they will host the Los Angeles Rams at M&T Bank Stadium.
