John Harbaugh says Ravens will address position of issue

The Ravens put a clear emphasis on their offense this offseason, giving QB Lamar Jackson several new weapons. However, head coach John Harbaugh admits that it has left some holes on defense.

Regarding Baltimore's cornerback depth, Harbaugh said it’s "an issue, no doubt" and acknowledged it's something the team will have to address.

Three-time Pro Bowler Marlon Humphrey is the leader of the group, but after him, there is a drop off of talent.

The Ravens added CB Rock Ya-Sin to the room this offseason but he suffered a knee injury that has sidelined him. According to reports, he didn't tear anything but the injury proves how fragile Baltimore's secondary is if someone were to go down.

Behind Humphrey and Ya-Sin are Jalyn Armour-Davis, Damarion Williams, Kevon Seymour and Daryl Worley. They are certainly not names that provide fans with a lot of confidence if they were needed to step in.

The perfect solution would have been a reunion with veteran CB Marcus Peters, who played from Baltimore from 2019-22 but signed with the Raiders in July.

So, the Ravens must look at who is left in free agency or make a trade. Some of the top names available are Ronald Darby, Casey Hayward and Bryce Callahan.

Baltimore will likely wait until at least after its first preseason action when they host the Eagles on Saturday. If the Ravens' secondary struggles, don't be surprised if there's a new face in the room by next week.
