Jordan Love has three-word response to Olympic flag football question

NFL team owners voted on Tuesday to unanimously approve a proposal that will allow players to participate in flag football at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, Calif. That has led to a lot of speculation about which NFL stars might want to represent Team USA.

Could Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love be a candidate?

Packers wide receivers coach Donald Driver was sitting next to Love during a news conference on Friday and joked that Love is the next quarterback of Team USA flag football. Love had a three-word response.

"Never say never," Love told reporters.

That is different from the response Love gave when asked about Olympic flag football during an appearance on the "Up & Adams" show in April. The former first-round pick insisted that it was not even something on his mind.

"I'm not even worried about flag football. I've got other things to worry about at this time," Love said.

The proposal that was approved by the NFL allows for one player from each team to be eligible to take part in flag football at the Olympics. An exception can be made for an international player who would not be trying out for Team USA.

For now, Love is focused on trying to win games with the Packers. He regressed a bit with 3,389 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions last season. Green Bay lost to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in the opening round of the playoffs.
