Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs weren’t on the same page Sunday

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills experienced tense emotional moments Sunday. The Buffalo Bills’ offense didn’t show up in their Divisional Round matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. The offense scored just ten points in the 27-10 blowout at home. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs was caught by CBS television cameras getting upset with Allen late in the game Sunday.

Diggs was targeted ten times in the loss, but his final stats were underwhelming. He finished with 35 yards on four catches. Diggs was upset by the outcome after the game. According to Joe Buscaglia with The Athletic, Diggs left the locker room before coaches had met with the team. He was brought back to the locker room by teammate Duke Johnson but left soon after.

Allen Talks about Diggs postgame

Josh Allen talked about his teammate after the game in his press conference. According to Matt Parrino with Syrcacuse.com, Allen praised Diggs for being a feisty player who wants the ball in his hands. Allen said the Bills would need to find ways in the offseason to get the ball in Diggs’ hands next season.

That’s not a bad plan. But Allen did try to get the ball to Diggs during the game. Allen struggled with the Bengals’ pass rush. The elements of snow didn’t seem to help matters. Diggs’ frustration is understandable, but he could have been a better teammate Sunday.
