Josh Allen warmed up in signed Ryan Fitzpatrick jersey ahead of game vs. Patriots

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen honored one of the franchise's most popular signal-callers, rocking a signed Ryan Fitzpatrick jersey during warmups ahead of Thursday night's contest against the New England Patriots.

Fitzpatrick, who spent four seasons with the Bills, from 2009 to 2012, captured the hearts of Buffalo fans despite going 20-33 in 53 starts. In his four seasons in Buffalo, Fitzpatrick always had the respect of his teammates, mainly due to his gritty, hard-nosed playing style and enthusiasm shown on the field. Back in September, appearing on the Dan Patrick Show, Fitzpatrick said he sees the same respect shown toward Allen.

"If you look at his teammates, every time he's on the ground, you got two people helping him up," Fitzpatrick said. "He's got this big goofy smile on his face. That energizes that football team, and I think that's something that's hard to quantify."

The "Fitzmagic" jersey is undefeated, as Allen and the Bills walked away with a dominant 24-10 victory over the Patriots on Thursday night. Allen finished 22-of-33 with two touchdowns in the win, helping the Bills improve to 9-3.

Both of Allen's touchdown passes came in the second quarter, hooking up with Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis to give Buffalo a 17-7 lead at halftime.

Four seconds into the second quarter, Allen connected with Diggs on an eight-yard touchdown, capping off a nine-play, 82-yard scoring drive.

On the Bills' next possession, facing a third and goal from the eight-yard line, Allen scrambled to his right before firing a bullet to Davis for another eight-yard score with 5:27 left in the opening half.
