Carolina Panthers quarterbacks coach Josh McCown may have given away the team’s draft plans on Wednesday.

McCown was among the Panthers brass in attendance for Ohio State’s pro day on Wednesday, with all eyes on quarterback C.J. Stroud, who worked through a strong session of reps. Nick Carboni of WCNC posted video of Stroud greeting key Panthers figures, including McCown.

At one point, the future NFL signal-caller and McCown scheduled a future game of HORSE.

As fun as the banter around basketball might have been, the real noteworthy section of the exchange came when McCown appeared to tell Stroud “maybe when you live in Charlotte we’ll find a court.”

That could certainly be a hint toward the future, though it is possible McCown said “go to Charlotte,” instead, referring to a future team meeting or the like.

Reports have indicated that Stroud is one of the two quarterbacks the Panthers are strongly considering with their recently-acquired No. 1 pick. Even if the team has made up its mind, it’s tough to imagine McCown would spill something like that in a public setting. Stranger things have happened.
