JuJu Smith-Schuster unlikely to accept offer to remain with Steelers?

JuJu Smith-Schuster's contract expires later this month, and he has made it known that he wants to play the rest of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

However, it seems unlikely that the wide receiver remains in Pittsburgh. According to Bob Labriola of Steelers.com, Smith-Schuster is "unlikely to want to accept what the cap-strapped Steelers would be able to pay him on a new contract."

The 24-year-old led the Steelers last season with 97 receptions for 831 yards and nine touchdowns. In four seasons with the franchise, he has 308 catches for 3,726 yards and 26 TDs.

The New York Jets, Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, Washington Football Team, Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants, Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders and Cincinnati Bengals could show interest in Smith-Schuster this offseason.

The Raiders seem particularly interested in the USC product, who would be a nice complement to Henry Ruggs.

Despite the odds pointing toward Smith-Schuster playing elsewhere next season, Chase Claypool, who is entering his second NFL season in 2021, made it known in a TikTok video that he wants the receiver to remain with the franchise.
