After a dominant 2022, Kamren Curl took a bit of a step back in the final year of his contract. However, with that being said, he was still a reliable starter and probably the best member of the Washington Commanders secondary. Starting in 16 games, the former seventh-round pick finished the season with five passes defended, one sack, a career-high 115 tackles, three tackles-for-loss, and three quarterback hits.

Kamren Curl originally entered the league as a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Selected by the Washington Football Team, the Arkansas product immediately outplayed his draft stock and became a key contributor on the defense. Appearing in all 16 games while making 11 starts, the rookie finished his inaugural campaign with three interceptions, four passes defended, two sacks, 88 tackles, four tackles-for-loss, and five quarterback hits. Washington made it to the playoffs but went one-and-done against Tom Brady’s Buccaneers.

Curl maintained his starting job in 2021 and proved that he was no one-year wonder. Appearing in 16 games while making 14 starts, the safety finished the season with five passes defended, one sack, 99 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, and three quarterback hits. Unfortunately, Washington was unable to make it back to the postseason.

Kamren Curl followed this up with his best season in the NFL. While injuries limited him to just 12 games, the safety recorded one sack, 83 tackles, six tackles-for-loss, and an impressive 82.9 PFF grade – the second-best mark in the league out of 88 eligible players.

Since signing his rookie contract, Kamren Curl has appeared in 60 games while making 53 starts. While on the field, the former seventh-round pick has recorded three interceptions, 14 passes defended, five sacks, 385 tackles, and 11 quarterback hits.
