The Kansas City Chiefs have won the last two Super Bowls. However, the Chiefs are not content, as they recently signed WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown . Believe it or not, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid played a major role in making sure this deal went through. Read below to find out what Reid did.

Andy Reid Helped Close Brown Deal

Shortly after the signing announcement, Brown went to Instagram to share a notable exchange between him and Reid. Brown screenshotted texts that the two of them sent to each other. In those texts, it was revealed that Reid helped close the deal to get Brown to come to the Chiefs. Here is what Reid said:

“Hollywood, think Red today, KC red with diamonds!!!” -Andy Reid

Following that text, Brown responded to Reid with encouragement. Here is what Brown wrote back to Reid:

“Yessir love the sound of that… Think Hollywood Brown Lights, Camera, Action.”

-Marquise “Hollywood” Brown

Kansas City Chiefs Eyeing Another Super Bowl

If you look closely at that text exchange, you will notice talk of diamonds. It hints that the Chiefs are serious about getting a third straight Super Bowl ring. Should the Chiefs achieve this, it would be the first time in NFL history a franchise has won three straight Super Bowl titles.

Arguably, the Kansas City Chiefs’ biggest need this offseason was wide receiver. Now, Kansas City has addressed this in a big way and Brown made sure to give Reid his props.
