New York Giants outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeau has had a solid past few weeks in which he's recorded at least one of his team-leading 5.5 sacks on the year in four of his last five games.

But Thibodeaux, never one to be satisfied with his individual performance, was regretting one play in particular that he let get away from him in the team's 14-7 win over the Washington Commanders.

The play in question was a dropped interception that the linebacker should have had, and one that if he had secured, he would have had nothing but daylight in front of him.

“It went from an interception to a punt return, and I just saw the open grass, and I saw the blockers, and I looked up and... just hit me in the stomach. But yeah, we’ve got to get back. I’m weak for that, so yeah, I’m weak for that. I know.”

Thibodeaux, who played one of his better games of the year, recorded a handful of pocket pressures and finished with four total tackles, several coming against the run.

He's vastly improved his game after a slow start, including improving his prowess against the run, which has been a weakness in his game, showing good hustle in pursuit and attacking the pocket hard and smartly.

But it's usually the one that gets away that people tend to remember most, even if the rest of a player's game was productive.
