For the second consecutive season, the Kansas City Chiefs have sent DL coach Joe Cullen on the road for a major pro day.

Last year, he was in Athens, Georgia to put some Bulldogs through their defensive line drills. This year he was in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to check out some defensive linemen and put them through workouts. The trusted defensive assistant remains involved in the pre-draft process.

The Tigers have a trio of interior defensive linemen eligible for the 2024 NFL draft — Maason Smith, Mekhi Wingo, and Jordan Jefferson.

Joe Cullen brings the juice to the LSU Pro Day

Cullen was spotted spending some time with the trio of interior defensive line prospects ahead of their workouts.

He later put those prospects through several on-field drills, bringing the energy and pushing the players to be their absolute best. He's known for getting a little animated, and that was certainly captured on video during the workouts.

Smith and Wingo are both expected to be top 100 draft picks, while Jefferson has peaked around pick No. 116 on consensus big boards.

Smith weighed in at 6-foot-4, 308 pounds. He posted a 7.68s 3-cone, 4.64s short shuttle, and 21 repetitions of 225 on the bench press. His wingspan is a staggering 84 and 3/8th inches.

Wingo weighed in at 6-foot, 286 pounds. He posted a 7.33s 3-cone, 4.45s short shuttle, and 28 repetitions of 225 on the bench press.

Jefferson weighed in at 6-foot-2, 316 pounds. He posted a 5.1s 40-yard dash.

They all are different styles of defensive linemen and bring something unique to the table. Smith is more in the mold of a Chris Jones-type of defensive lineman, while Wingo compares to Sheldon Rankins, and Jefferson compares to Nick Eason.
