Kenneth Walker emerging as Offensive Rookie of Year contender

After a stellar career at Michigan State, Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III is setting the NFL on fire.

The Seahawks are surprisingly competitive in the first year of their post-Russell Wilson era, and Walker's play is a big reason why.

The running back has 17 missed tackles in the last three weeks, and is steamrolling over opposing defenses through the amount of yards he's amassing after contact.

He's rushed for 411 yards and 4 touchdowns on the season so far, helping 4-3 Seahawks lead the NFC West and push for a home playoff game.

For that, he's emerging as a possible Offensive Player of the Year candidate.

With New York Jets rookie RB Breece Hall on injured reserve and Falcons wideout Drake London going quiet lately after a hot start, Walker will likely contend with New Orleans Saints wideout Chris Olave and Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce at the moment for the honor.

If Walker keeps playing as he is and the Seahawks keep winning, he will run away with the trophy come winter.
