Kenny Golladay: First season with Giants 'just not good enough'

Just about everything regarding the 2021 New York Giants has been a disappointment, including wide receiver Kenny Golladay. The free agent joined the Giants via a reported four-year deal worth up to $72 million last offseason but never really teased earning at least the first quarter of that contract via his on-the-field performances. Additionally, he got into some sort of altercation with now former offensive coordinator Jason Garrett back in September, and he later missed time with a knee injury, per Fantasy Pros

Golladay met with media members Friday ahead of Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Washington Football Team and offered an unbiased assessment of his debut campaign in New York.

"To be honest, me just looking back, I would just say just not good enough on my part," Golladay said of his contributions, according to the Giants' website. "Not saying I was playing terrible or anything, but I expect more. Yeah, just not good enough."

As noted by ESPN stats, Golladay enters Week 18 leading the Giants with 499 receiving yards and 71 targets. He has tallied 34 total catches but didn't find the end zone a single time featuring for what became, statistically speaking, one of the NFL's worst overall offenses.
