Lamar Jackson hoping Ravens sign wide receiver Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown supposedly announced his retirement from the NFL via Twitter recently, but that doesn't mean his football career is necessarily over.

Baltimore Ravens superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson said Wednesday he's spoken with the team about Brown in hopes of the front office attempting to sign the former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver.

Jackson worked out with Brown in April and confirmed later in the month that he was interested in having the seven-time Pro Bowler join the Ravens.

It remains to be seen whether Brown would be interested in giving it another go in the NFL. In a Twitter tirade last week he said that the "risk was greater than the reward."

Brown requested and was released in September after Oakland (now Las Vegas) fined him over $215,000 for conduct detrimental to the team. He then signed a deal with the New England Patriots but played just one game with the organization before being released after sexual assault allegations came to light.

The seven-time Pro Bowler reportedly was drawing interest from multiple NFL clubs this offseason, including the Ravens and Seattle Seahawks.
