Lamar Jackson hungry for playoff win: 'I'm tired of going home'

Lamar Jackson has put up some impressive numbers during his short NFL career, but there's still a major hole in his résumé.

Despite being unanimously named the NFL's MVP during his sophomore season, the young Baltimore Ravens quarterback is 0-2 in playoff action. Avenging those early postseason exits has been on Jackson's mind this offseason.

"I think about it a lot, to be honest with you," Jackson told Peter King of NBC Sports. "That's where I wanna be. That's when everything gets ... crucial. It's tough. I remember (former NFL running back) LeGarrette Blount DM'd me on Instagram. He was like, 'You know, playoffs is different from regular season.' I'm like, 'Nah.' But it is, because it's win or go home. And I'm tired of going home. I just can't wait to get back in that same spot and perform at a whole 'nother level."

Jackson and the Ravens were upset by the Tennessee Titans in the divisional round last season after earning the No. 1 seed with a 14-2 record. The previous year, Baltimore fell to the Los Angeles Chargers in the wild-card round.

Compared to his regular-season performances, Jackson's postseason numbers aren't nearly as good. In two playoff starts, Jackson has thrown three touchdowns coupled with three interceptions and a 51.1 completion percentage. On top of that, he's been sacked 11 times.

The Ravens have a good shot of going further into the playoffs this year, though getting through Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs certainly will be a challenge.
