Lamar Jackson isn't focused on a new contract with Ravens

According to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson isn't interested in negotiating a new deal with the team.

"At the start of the season, the story was that he was too focused on football. After the season, the story was that he was too focused on getting healthy," Florio wrote. "Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Jackson has told the Ravens that he's currently too focused on having his best possible year and that he doesn't want to do a deal until the 2022 season is over."

The contract drama between Jackson and the Ravens isn't breaking news, but recently both Jackson, Baltimore owner Steve Bisciotti, and Raven's head coach John Harbaugh have commented on the situation.

Last week, Jackson took to Twitter, where he dismissed the "false narrative" that he had a desire to leave the Ravens.

On Tuesday, Bisciotti spoke with reports at the NFL's league meetings, calling the contract situation with Jackson "unique as hell."

Meanwhile, Harbaugh shared his thoughts on the situation with ESPN's Jamison Hensley.

It's one of the great things about Lamar Jackson, he's very unique. He's just a guy who doesn't get caught up in things that, whether he can't control or doesn't want to address at that point in time, he's not going to worry about," Harbaugh said. "If it matters to him, then obviously, it would be a priority at this point in time. I'm sure we would be getting something done. He's got his reasons for thinking the way he does. Basically what he shares with me is: 'I got to focus on being the best quarterback I can be. I got to go to work.' Beyond that, I think when the time is right, it'll happen."
