Lamar Jackson said to be fine following jet ski run-in

Baltimore Ravens quarterback and reigning NFL Most Valuable Player Lamar Jackson may want to stick to more land-based activities during the final weeks of his offseason.

As ESPN's Jamison Hensley noted, Jackson shared a humorous but also concerning video on his Instagram story that showed him running on a beach before he tumbled over a jet ski.

Hensley added that Jackson is fine and feeling no ill effects from the encounter, but that the Ravens may remind the 23-year-old, who contributed 43 total touchdowns in the 2019 regular season, that he needs to be more careful as it pertains to his health.

Per a 2015 Washington Post story, the NFL and other leagues include restrictions in player contracts to prevent athletes from partaking in risky behavior. An ABC News piece from 2014 described how New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees wasn't allowed to operate a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle due to his contract terms even though he starred in advertisements for the vehicles.
