The Las Vegas Raiders were about to head into the 2024 NFL Draft with two pretty big holes on their offensive lines. After letting both Greg Van Roten and Jermaine Eluemunor walk in free agency, they needed a right guard and right tackle.

We have talked about the Raiders possibly drafting both positions somewhat early in the draft, but now those plans may have changed.

I fully expect the Raiders to now target an offensive tackle early now after some of the latest news. The Raiders went and grabbed a veteran offensive lineman, and it's the perfect fit in the Raiders' new system.

On Monday, the Raiders signed former Chicago Bears offensive lineman Cody Whitehair. He played center and guard under Luke Getsy and will be the perfect fit for the Raiders.

A few weeks ago, we talked about a few great fits the Raiders could pursue at the guard position. At the top of that list, I had Whitehair because of his fit with Getsy.

The Raiders went this route last off-season with Greg Van Roten but didn't re-sign him for various reasons. Whitehair should be cheap, can provide depth, or even be a starter at the position. Of course, he could be better, but he is good enough to hold it down.

Now, the offensive line still has one hole, making their draft choice much easier. I would still expect them to take a guard, maybe much later in the draft.
