After a long offseason, the Indianapolis Colts will soon know their 2025 schedule. The NFL will release the 2025 season schedule for all 32 teams this week.

Since the end of the 2024 regular season, we have known who the Colts' 2025 home and away opponents will be. Before we find out the Colts' official schedule, I have some bold predictions to share.

Colts 2025 schedule bold predictions

Season opener on the road vs. the Titans for Cam Ward's NFL debut

The Colts have opened up the season at home in each of the last two seasons. Both games being vs. AFC South rivals in the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023 and the Houston Texans in 2024. In fact, the Colts have played an AFC South opponent in Week one in each of the last three seasons, by traveling to Houston in 2022. I think that trend continues in 2025 with the Colts hitting the road to Nashville to take on the Tennessee TitaThishich would mthat ean the Colts wohave get to fthe ace 2025 Draft'sraft number one overall pick Cam Ward for his first-ever NFL regular season game. I don't think this would get a primetime slot, but I wouldn't be shocked if this ended up in the mid window at 4:05 or 4:25 EST.

Least amount of primetime games in the AFC South

The Colts have finished second in the AFC South over the last two seasons, ahead of the Jaguars and Titans. But I still believe the Colts will end up having the least amount of primetime games of any team in the AFC South. The Texans and CJ Strou have earned the right to receive that type of game. And the Titans and Jaguars have the number one and number two overall picks from the 2025 NFL Draft on their rosters. Cam Ward and Travis Hunter will be enticing players for the NFL, and I think they get thrown a few extra primetime games as a result. The Colts will be traveling to Germany for a game, so they will at least have one. But I'm not expecting to see multiple others.

Colts and Broncos get placed on Monday Night Football to set up a must watch Manning Cast

Since the Manning Cast was launched as an alternative broadcast on ESPN 2, the Colts have been a game covered by Peyton and Eli Manning. The Colts are set to play the Denver Broncos again this year after a great game in 2024 that ultimately ended up having major playoff implications for both teams. The Colts won't get many primetime games, but this one seems like a great fit to create an all-time broadcast opportunity for Peyton Manning to cover both of the teams he played for and won Super Bowls for during his Hall of Fame career. If this game does in fact land on Monday Night Football and the Manning broadcast chooses not to cover the game like they have in the past, I'll be convinced that the Colts will never appear on the Manning Cast.
