The 2024 NFL Draft is a little over a month away, and as the days go by, it's becoming more evident what the Bolts will do without their first-round pick. All signs point to the Bolts selecting a pass catcher, specifically a wide receiver, especially after losing their top two wide receivers in the span of two days.

The Chargers' wide receiver room is not looking so hot, which is why Kyle Dvorchak of NBC Sports has the Bolts selecting a wide receiver in the draft.

However, Dvorchak has the Bolts trading down to the number 11 pick with the Minnesota Vikings. He has the Vikimgs taking quarterback J.J. McCarthy, while the Bolts take Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze.

Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

After cutting Mike Williams and trading Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze making it to the Chargers after trading back would be a godsend. Following the first-year flop of Quentin Johnston, the Chargers have the worst receiving room in the league as things currently stand. Even if they are sitting at pick No. 11 with Odunze gone, I still see receiver as the clear pick for them.

In this scenario, the Vikings and the Bolts get what they need. Odunze is among the best pass-catching prospects in the draft and can be the guy to rejuvenate this new Charger offense. Outside of Justin Hebert, the offense is far from competent at the moment, but Odzune could lead them in the right direction.

The 21-year-old possesses advanced rote running skills for his 6-foot-3, 216-pound frame. He has an imposing physical presence with a wide wingspan, demonstrates elite concentration and fast-twitch reactions and is a smooth vertical receiver.

Odunze has all the tools to be a perfect fit with Herbert, offensive coordinator Greg Roman and head coach Jim Harbaugh. The Chargers need a wide receiver unless they feel they can sign one on the open market; however, the options aren't too attractive or impactful.
