The Los Angeles Rams are slated to have the No. 19 pick in this year's NFL Draft, but are they going to actually make the pick or trade it away?

Rams GM Les Snead is notorious for trading draft picks, but in the past, it has worked out for him. Could he do the same with this year's pick, or will the Rams make a first-round pick for the first time since 2016.

Sneads is unsure whether or not the team will need to use the pick or not, telling reporters that "it's a little too early to tell" on Friday.

After all, there are some questions remaining with the team's roster. Chief among them is what will happen with Aaron Donald this offseason.

The last time the Rams made a first-round pick, it ended up being Jared Goff, who they did end up trading to the Detroit Lions but was a solid quarterback for the five seasons that he was with the team.

One of the only reasons why the Rams would make the pick would be to draft Matthew Stafford's successor, as the veteran quarterback is turning 36 in February.

NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah appeared on "The Rich Eisen Show" and talked more about the benefits of doing that and letting a young quarterback sit behind a still-viable Stafford for a year or two.

"Maybe if you're the Rams and you think Matthew Stafford can roll for another two years and play at an elite level, maybe they sit there and go 'You know what? We're gonna take a quarterback here with a first-round pick.," Jeremiah said. "And let him sit and learn behind Matthew Stafford for a couple of years.'"

Whatever Snead and Sean McVay decide to do, Rams fans should have faith, as the draft record between the two is very solid.
