A pair of Falcons have earned Pro Bowl honors as Jessie Bates gets his first nod and Chris Lindstrom garners his second in as many years.

It’s somewhat surprising Jessie Bates hasn’t been voted to the Pro Bowl prior to this season. After all, he’d already earned All-Pro honors when he was with the Bengals. Nevertheless, it’s not shocking whatsoever that Bates is recognized this season.

He’s set career marks across the board with three forced fumbles, six interceptions, and 128 tackles. Bates is solely responsible for a couple of Atlanta’s wins, including most recently against the Saints, accounting for two red zone turnovers, including a pick-six. Against the Panthers, Bates forced three turnovers that netted 17 points.

Chris Lindstrom is no stranger to the Pro Bowl, earning his first bid last season. Following an All-Pro 2022 campaign, the Falcons handed the former first-round pick the largest contract in NFL history for a guard. Lindstrom rewarded them with another impressive season.

Both are deserving of the honor and will likely garner some sort of consideration for the AP All-Pro teams. Jessie Bates is seemingly set to debut on the first team. Lindstrom, on the other hand, will have a difficult time given the breadth of talent across the league at the guard position.

Congratulations to Jessie Bates and Chris Lindstrom, some damn good Falcons!
