The Detroit Lions won their first playoff game in 32 years when they beat the Los Angeles Rams 24-23 in the wild-card round of the NFC playoffs at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. on Sunday. Their social media team was up for the occasion.

Prior to the game, the NFL’s X account shared a video of famous actor Bryan Cranston in Rams gear saying “Go Rams.”

After the Lions beat Cranston’s team, the Lions’ X account posted a response.

They shared a photo of Cranston’s most famous acting role — Walter White from “Breaking Bad” — and used the character’s quote after he had defeated his enemies, “I won.”

That is savage and well done.

The significance of the Lions winning a playoff game cannot be understated. The city and the team’s fans waited three decades for this. This year’s squad won the division and has taken care of business by winning its first playoff game. Now they will get to host the winner of the Eagles-Buccaneers game next weekend.

The emotional high in Detroit won’t stop now.
