Lions sign veteran WR Mohamed Sanu to practice squad
The Detroit Lions added some depth at wide receiver on Friday, signing Mohamed Sanu to their practice squad.
Sanu most recently played for the San Francisco 49ers, reeling in one reception for nine yards, before being released in September.
The 31-year-old has appeared in 121 career games, reeling in 404 catches for 4,516 yards and 26 touchdowns for the Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots in addition to the 49ers.
Detroit's signing of Sanu comes after a hip injury to star receiver Kenny Golladay, who missed the second half of the Lions' 41-21 loss to the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday. Head coach Matt Patricia has described Golladay's status as "day-to-day and week-to-week."
