What a Sunday man. The Detroit Lions went out and won a nailbiter to clinch their first divsion championship in 30 years. Obviously everyone on the team is filled with emotion for different reasons. Jared Goff was emotional in his post game interview because he was the guy that nobody wanted and now he's showed the world they're wrong. Dan Campbell got emotional because he loves these players. There's one guy that stood out the most and that's this guy.

Taylor Decker has been with this Lions team longer than anyone. He was drafted with the 16th pick in the 2016 NFL draft and was expected to be the Lions franchise tackle. He's done that ever since. He's also been here to endure the hell that this team has gone through during his tenure.

From firing Jim Caldwell in his second season to the Matt Patricia and Bob Quinn years that beat this franchise down to nearly nothing. He never waivered. He never looked for a way out. When he had a the chance to be a free agent, he decided to agree to an extension instead.

When Decker had some injury problems and Lions fans wanted him traded, he came back angry and showed why that was a dumb thing to consider. When he dealt with the poor play this season he got things together and got right back to playing well. He is not a guy that's going to quit on this team. He bleeds Honolulu blue.

Decker has been a rock for this franchise since he got here and I can't think of anyone that deserves to stand on that field and cry tears of joy more than Decker. I look forward to seeing where things go from here. But if you ask me, he's a guy who's jersey number you retire when he decides to hand it up.
