Former Pitt and USC wide receiver Jordan Addison told the Pittsburgh Steelers “come get me” at the 2023 NFL Combine, to set up a reunion with his college quarterback, Kenny Pickett, in Pittsburgh.

In Addison’s sophomore season with Pickett at Pitt, the two broke records, with Addison catching 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns on the way to winning the third Biletnikoff Award in Panthers history, while Pickett won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award while breaking most of Dan Marino’s Pitt passing records.

But should the Steelers seriously entertain using one of their top draft picks on a receiver for the second straight season, with so many other needs and George Pickens and Diontae Johnson already in the fold?

Alan Saunders of Steelers Now joined Chris Carter on the Locked On Steelers podcast to discuss whether Addison at one of the Steelers’ top draft picks makes sense and whether he’ll be there anyway.

They also discussed whether or not Bud Dupree returning to the Steelers as a free agent makes sense, the team’s apparent lack of discipline in 2022 and how the free agent market is giving the Steelers a competitive advantage.
