NFL Insider Benjamin Allbright released his one and only mock draft and it confirms Los Angeles Chargers worst fears, taking an offensive lineman in the first round of the impending 2024 NFL Draft.

In this particular version, Allbright has the Chargers trading back with the Minnesota Vikings.  LA gives 5th overall and gets 2024’s 11, 129, and the Vikings 2025 1st and 2026 2nd.

With pick 11 he has the Chargers selecting JC Latham, the offensive tackle from Alabama.

Allbright notes that the ‘Chargers can get quality wide receiver help later.’

Will the Los Angeles Chargers Opt for O-Line over Pass Catcher?

The need for a pass catcher is obvious. But that butts up against how Jim Harbaugh builds his team and what Greg Roman needs in his offense. At every turn, this Chargers regime has communicated and reiterated their love and commitment to the running game, as well as, sound play along the trenches.

While the options are endless, when a team tells you who they are, believe them.
