'Love Story?' Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift reportedly hanging out together

ET reported the singer and Kelce aren't officially dating. However, per TheMessenger, "Travis and Taylor have been quietly hanging out. She saw him when she was in NYC a few weeks ago."

If Kelce and Swift, both 33, are in a relationship, it would be a surprise. During her Eras Tour this summer, he attempted to give her his phone number and failed.

"I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings," Kelce said on an episode of his "New Heights" podcast in July. "So I was a little butthurt. I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her. I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it."

Perhaps Kelce's gesture flattered Swift, spawning a "Love Story." Plus, it's not the first time Swift has been linked with a high-profile football player. In 2012, she reportedly went on a dinner date with former NFL QB Tim Tebow.

Nonetheless, it's fair to question the validity of this rumor. The Swift and Kelce camps could be using it to generate more PR as the popularity of both soars. The Chiefs tight end won his second Super Bowl last season and made his eighth consecutive Pro Bowl. Per CNN, Swift's new tour could generate $2.2B in North American ticket sales, making it the highest-grossing music tour ever.

Wait to pencil in Kelce and Swift as a power couple. Yet if she showed up to Arrowhead Stadium wearing a No. 87 jersey that would probably signal they're an item.
