The Las Vegas Raiders have their full-time offensive coordinator.

The club announced it has officially hired Luke Getsy to be its offensive coordinator. Getsy held the same role for the Chicago Bears for the past two NFL seasons.

In total, Getsy has 17 years of coaching experience, nine of which have been spent in the NFL.

Getsy's coaching career began when he served as a graduate assistant for his alma mater, the University of Akron, for the 2007 and 2008 college football seasons. He then became the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at West Virginia Wesleyan College for the 2009 season. He would go back to being a graduate assistant for his other alma mater, the University of Pittsburgh, in 2010.

Getsy then became offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he held the role for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. In 2013, Getsy was hired as wide receivers coach at Western Michigan University.

Then came Getsy's first coaching stint in the NFL when the Green Bay Packers brought Getsy on staff to be an offensive quality control coach in 2014. Getsy then became the team's wide receivers coach in 2016. His top receiver was none other than Davante Adams, who would make his first Pro Bowl that season.

Getsy would go back to the college level in 2018 when he was hired as the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Mississippi State University. He was there for just one season before returning to the Packers in 2019 to become the team's quarterbacks coach.

The following season, Getsy was also named passing game coordinator. He would oversee a quarterback room led by one of the best of all time, Aaron Rodgers, who won back-to-back MVP awards under Getsy.

Getsy will take over the responsibilities of former Raiders Interim Offensive Coordinator Bo Hardegree.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
