Mackensie Alexander returning to Vikings after one season with Bengals

Mackensie Alexander is returning to the team that selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft.

Alexander's agent Neil Schwartz announced Friday night via Twitter that his client is returning to the Minnesota Vikings. The terms of the deal have not yet been revealed. 

Alexander spent the first four years of his career in Minnesota before signing a one-year, $4 million deal with the Cincinnati Bengals for the 2020 campaign. 

The 27-year-old played 13 games last season, recording one interception, 47 tackles and six pass breakups. 

In 55 games with the Vikings, Alexander recorded 103 tackles, two interceptions, 21 pass breakups and 4.5 sacks.
