The Saints are bringing back defensive tackle Malcolm Roach. The news was first reported by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, and has since been confirmed by several outlets including Saints News Network.

Roach, who was a restricted free agent entering the offseason, was not tendered originally. Several teams were interested in Roach, but ultimately New Orleans is where he landed. In 2022, he appeared in 13 games for the Saints, starting in 3 of those contests. He had a career-high 26 tackles (14 solo, 12 assisted) and a sack. He originally joined the team as an undrafted rookie from Texas in 2020.

The Saints now have four defensive tackles on the roster, which include Roach, free agent additions Khalen Saunders and Nathan Shepherd, and Prince Emili on a reserve/future deal. New Orleans could still add some more here in free agency, but would be expected to look towards the draft.
