Manning-inspired beer to be unveiled before Broncos-Colts game

"Chicken Parm" and Papa John’s better make some room. Peyton Manning is about to be synonymous with another hot commodity—beer.

In conjunction with the Broncos and Colts facing off in Week 9, Denver’s Factotum Brewhouse has collaborated with Indianapolis-based Tow Yard Brewing Co. to release a Manning-inspired brew on game day, The Denver Post reported.

The name of this miracle concoction? “Oatmaha.”

Factotum gave a little background into the special addition beverage in a press release back on October 30:

“The beer will feature corn to represent Indiana and sage to represent Colorado.  Also, because the honoree has played for both horse-themed professional football teams, the beer will contain oats.  The beer will be named Oatmaha, an homage to the ingredient and the quarterback’s favorite play call.”

The craft creation will be available at both breweries’ taprooms, the release said,  as well as at Denver’s 3rd annual Collaboration Fest. Factotum will also visit Tow Yard the day before the showdown at Lucas Oil Stadium to brew a special batch.

The next question is: Will Peyton sap on one of these instead of  a Bud Light after Sunday’s game?

Perhaps that will depend on how the game shakes out. The undefeated Broncos all-time record against the 3-5 Colts is knotted up 12-12-0.
