Marlon Humphrey tests positive for COVID-19 one day after playing in Ravens' loss

COVID-19 has made its way through the NFL since the season began a couple of months ago. While the Tennessee Titans' outbreak is over, the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers now are at risk to experience a similar catastrophe.

Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphery announced Monday that he has tested positive for the coronavirus just one day after playing in Baltimore's loss to the Steelers. Humphrey sat out last Wednesday's practice with what the team described as an "illness."

He wasn't the only NFL player to test positive after competing on Sunday, though.

Green Bay Packers running back A.J. Dillon also tested positive after playing 17 snaps in Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He'll now miss Thursday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. Those two players were the only two to return positive on Monday.

Last week, the NFL sent a memo to teams recommending that they enhance social distancing and health efforts. Players were asked to wear masks on the sidelines, but not many did during this week's slate of games.

As more positive tests continue to roll in, the NFL will have to update its health and safety policies.
