Matt Leinart trolled Oklahoma via Twitter on Thursday with a line about Applebee’s.

After a failed career as an NFL player, Leinart is now serving as a broadcaster/analyst for FOX. He’ll be part of the crew covering the Oklahoma-Ohio State game this weekend, which led him to tweet this on Thursday:

Leinart was a top recruit out of Mater Dei High School in Southern California back in 2000. He eventually chose USC and won a Heisman Trophy and national championship for the school, becoming one of the most accomplished players in school history. But before he decided on the Trojans, Leinart went on a visit to Oklahoma, complete with a meal at Applebee’s.

Leinart, of course, had a reputation for being a “Hollywood” type who enjoyed the LA scene while at USC, so this arrogant tweet from him should not come as a surprise. Still, Applebee’s is looking forward to having him back:

@MattLeinartQB What should we stock up on, Matt? We'll be ready for you. ~ ARN

Leinart, now a broadcaster, will be part of FOX’s team covering the Oklahoma-Ohio State game.
