The Miami Dolphins will lose one of their key offensive starters for at least two games. The Dolphins have dealt with a few significant injuries on offense the previous few weeks. They placed two wide receivers on injured reserve last week.
On Monday, the Dolphins ruled out Terron Armstead for their Week 5 game against the New York Giants due to a knee injury. Head coach Mike McDaniel said earlier this week the injury would be measured in terms of weeks missed instead of days.
The update on Friday is not good for the All-Pro left tackle.
The Miami Dolphins lose their LT to IR
According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, the Dolphins are placing Armstead on injured reserve due to the knee injury he suffered in Week 4. The Dolphins expect Armstead to return this season.
Losing Armstead will be a big hurt for the Dolphins offensive line. The team needs to make sure Tua Tagovailoa stays upright. That will be harder with a starting offensive lineman on the injured reserve.
