In 2021 it is no secret the Miami Dolphins had one of the leagues worst rushing attack. Although Myles Gaskin was thought of as their number one back, it seemed the coaching staff didn’t trust him. Bringing other backs like Malcolm Brown,Phillip Lindsay, and Duke Johnson.

This offseason the Dolphins have decided to bring in Chase Edmonds on a two year $12.6 million dollar contract, Raheem Mostert and Sony Michel on similar 1 year contracts. Myles Gaskin is still on the team and can still compete for a role in the offense.

WIth the ability to make plays out of the backfield Chase Edmonds should fit right into a Mike Mcdaniel offense. Edmonds has the ability to make plays on both the running game and receiving game. He was fourth in the league last season before suffering an ankle injury. If he can maintain last seasons average of 4 receptions a game, in an offense that already includes an explosive receiving group, he should have lots of chances to make an impact in the game.

Last season Raheem Mostert felt his season end in week one after a tragic knee injury. The 8 year veteran says he is back to 100% for training camp. When healthy he played 46 games for the 49ers where rushed for 1,610 yards, had 361 receiving yards, and 14 touchdowns. Familiar to Mike Mcdaniels offense he could be a reliable part of the offense early on.

Towards the end of last season Sony Michel was able to put up enough numbers to have the third most rushing yards and the most rushing attempts for the Rams. Among the new signings this offseason it is Michel with the most experience in the every down role. He could be an interesting player to watch this offseason.
