Micah Parsons reveals what made him vomit twice in win vs. Panthers

Dallas Cowboys edge-rusher Micah Parsons had quite the performance in Sunday’s 33-10 win over the Carolina Panthers.

The 24-year-old All-Pro logged six tackles, three QB hits, 2.5 sacks and two tackles for loss while terrorizing rookie quarterback Bryce Young all game. Oh, and Parsons also lost his lunch, twice — a byproduct of what he said was an ill-fated decision to take pre-workout powder with some teammates before kickoff.

“Pre-game, everybody was like, ‘Let’s take a shot of this C4’ and it was something I had never done before,” Parsons said, via Cowboys team reporter Nick Harris. “As soon as I put it in, I was like, ‘Man, this stuff is strong.’ I got some water to help put it down. By the fifth play, it felt like my heart was about to jump out of my chest. It felt like CO2 was bottled up in my chest and I felt like I was about to explode. Eventually, I just started throwing up. It was all coming out. I’m never doing that again. I’m sticking to my routine.”

The Cowboys are now 9-3 in games in which Parsons records multiple sacks.

The 2.5 sacks Parsons had on Sunday tied his career best. He now has a sack in four straight games, and he also moved into sixth in the league with 10 sacks through nine games.

Parsons also became the first player in Cowboys history to reach double-digit sacks in each of his first three seasons, and he’s only the ninth player to reach the milestone since 1982, per Cowboys PR.
