This morning, Michigan football fans, players, and coaches were saddened by the news of the passing of former Michigan defensive end Craig Roh. Roh is the Wolverines’ program leader in consecutive starts, and was a valuable member of the Michigan community, as evidenced by the way Wolverine Nation has rallied in support of the Roh family. See the GoFundMe at the bottom of this article to contribute and ensure that the family is taken care of.

Michigan football fans rally around family of Craig Roh

Craig Roh, a former Michigan football and NFL defensive end, passed this morning after his 18-month battle with cancer. Roh was a Scholar-Athlete Award winner, an All-Big Ten Michigan athlete, and an XFL All-Star throughout his career on the gridiron. He was picked up by the NFL’s Carolina Panthers following the 2013 NFL Draft, which kicked off his professional career.

Craig Roh leaves behind many who loved him, and Michigan football fans everywhere are taking note — especially when it comes to his wife (Chelsea) and two-year-old son (Max). In response to the news, fans, current and former players, and even coaches (including new head coach Sherrone Moore) have started a GoFundMe in support of the family that Roh leaves behind. The link to contribute is below — the fundraiser is about half-way to its intended goal so far.
